Affiliate Disclosure
What are affiliate links?
Some links on Carry On Gear Guide point to products on Amazon and other retailers. These are affiliate links, meaning if you click one and make a purchase, we receive a small percentage of the sale as a commission. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or navigate to the product yourself.
Amazon Associates
Carry On Gear Guide is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
How this affects our recommendations
Commission rates do not decide which bags we cover. We identify the backpacks most commonly recommended by real travelers on Reddit, FlyerTalk, and verified buyer reviews, then write about them. The fact that a product has an affiliate link does not influence whether it gets recommended, how prominently it is featured, or what we say about it.
Each review lists product weaknesses and notes where a manufacturer’s marketing claim does not match the specifications or buyer reports.
