Black Friday Luggage and Travel Backpack Deals 2026: What to Watch
Black Friday falls on 27 November 2026. If you want an Osprey, wait: last November the black Farpoint 40 sold on Amazon for a little under half its 23 October price in the table below. Away and Bellroy each took a quarter off at their own stores. The Patagonia Black Hole is the one to buy when you need it: Patagonia ran no Black Friday discount in 2025, and we found no retailer deal on the bag either.

Black Friday 2026 Dates
Thanksgiving is Thursday 26 November, Black Friday is 27 November, and Cyber Monday is 30 November. We found no announcement of Amazon’s 2026 dates on 23 October. In 2025 its Black Friday Week ran from 20 November to 1 December, per Amazon’s own announcement, starting eight days before Black Friday.
The earliest 2025 sale we found was Away’s, reported live on 17 November, three days before Amazon’s week and Peak Design’s sale both opened on 20 November.
What Each Brand Did in 2025
Osprey
Osprey itself ran no US sitewide sale that we could find; the cuts came from retailers. A Slickdeals post on 26 November 2025 had the black Farpoint 40 on Amazon at the price in the table. On 19 November the Fairview 40 in Volcanic Grey was at Woot for the price in the table, and on 21 November the Daylite Expandable 26+6 took 20% off on Amazon with the code BFCM20, which commenters said worked on one item, once.
Away
Away cut 25% off nearly its whole range, with an extra 10% on very large orders. The Points Guy reported it on 17 November 2025 with the Bigger Carry-On included, and Upgraded Points gave the end as 1 December. The Aluminum Edge line was excluded. The sale ran on Away’s own site. On 23 October 2026 Amazon charged the same price Away’s own site listed on 19 October, so during the sale, check Away first.
Bellroy
Bellroy’s own store took 25% off sitewide on US orders over the minimum in the table, running to 3 December 2025, as reported by Pack Hacker and HiConsumption. The Transit Carry-On’s price clears that minimum by itself.
Peak Design
Peak Design’s sale ran from 20 November to 1 December 2025 with up to 30% off, per ShutterMuse, plus a free gift on larger orders. Pack Hacker listed the Travel Backpack 45L in it, but no source we found gave the 45L’s sale price.
Cotopaxi and Tortuga
Cotopaxi’s own store had nothing we could trace, but the black Allpa 35L sold at Woot for the price in the table on 19 November 2025. Tortuga discounted bundles of its Expandable Backpack by up to 40%, 28 November to 2 December, per Pack Hacker; the Travel Backpack Lite 40L we recommend showed no deal, and its Amazon price read the same on 11 August, 18 October and 23 October 2026.
Patagonia
Patagonia skipped Black Friday discounts in 2025, as Inc. reported on 1 December, and pushed repair and used gear instead. The Amazon listing we link showed one Black Hole 25L left in stock, in Smolder Blue, on 23 October 2026.
Checking a Deal Before You Buy
Measure a deal against the 23 October price in the table, not the struck-through price on the listing.
Osprey publishes the Farpoint at 55 x 35 x 23 cm, and 23 cm is 9.06 in: at half price it is still 0.06 in too deep for the 9 in carry-on limit at American, Delta, United, Alaska and JetBlue, and 3 cm too deep for Ryanair’s and Vueling’s 20 cm. It fits Southwest’s 24 x 16 x 10 in and British Airways’ 56 x 45 x 25 cm. The compliance checker runs any bag against 18 airlines.
Frequently Asked Questions
When do Black Friday luggage sales start?
In 2025 the first one we found, Away’s, was live by 17 November, eleven days before Black Friday on 28 November 2025. If brands keep that gap, look from about 16 November 2026.
Will Osprey drop the Farpoint again this year?
No source says so in advance. If it does, last year’s pattern says to watch the black colorway on Amazon through Black Friday week.
